Happy Independence Day!

How many watched or are planning on watching fireworks from their boats?

Just remember while you're out there enjoying all of that 4th of July brouhaha; that a bunch of slave-owning, aristocratic, white males didn't want to pay thier taxes. :P

We will be watching fireworks displays from 8 different municipalities in Charleston Harbor tonight on board the Viva Mahia ... and the main display shot from the Yorktown. Always a lot of fun. Also fun to pass by the boat landing and see the zoo of people on the way home.

make sure you turn on every cabin light so that you can give the peasants a thrill on land. after all, what's not to like when a nice looking vessel passes by with full on cabin lighting.

Well, I couldn't be onboard and in town for fireworks tonight because of work obligations, but I did go up on the roof at 9:30 and have my half hour of Zen. Must have been 500 boats plus the cruise lines in the south basin tonight for the show. I dunno what was louder. The fireworks or all the horns sounding after the finale. Either way, I got the see the show, and I didn't have to drive back home in tha mess on the boat after it was done. Just in the car an hour later at 25 MPH the whole way home......
