motore caterpillar 3208
Hi, I'm owner of a Trojan 11 Express with mt from 435cv 3208 caterpillar engines, one engine was found in the water tested before disassembly have been taken off the collectors that were full of water which have been sent to checkout. now I ask you do you think considering there is no water in the oil will be necessary to rebuild the engine whereas the engine has been stopped for over a year with the water in the heads? the engine has been turned by hand easily to empty the water,. thanks

You might try rephrasing your question and providing pictures if possible, and more data, perhaps in a list.

There was no evidence of this happening....

Water in the heads and it still turns over after sitting for a year ??? That is surprising . First is it water from the riser ? Or perhaps coolant from the manifolds getting into the heads ? As the engine is turning over the thing to do is get it running ASAP . I first turn if over by hand 2 turns before cranking it over to be sure of no hydro lock and no stuck valves . are the valve rusty? have you determined where the water or coolant is coming from ?
Photos would be helpful
And what do you mean by " collectors " I am assuming you mean the riser / elbow

Re: motore caterpillar 3208
is assumed to a simple loss, this is the reason for which it was discovered after 1 year.
(collezionisti= exhaust manifold the engine in an attempt to get it started before the discovery, it was locked, but once emptied of water in the heads, was spun by hand easily.
Was not found water in the oil. Were removed at the time only the exhaust manifold and has been found in the water heads. The tightness test are the same integri.si will now have to disassemble the head to see in what condition is the all . mechanic official caterpillar I have already announced that you will have to redo everything. share everything? or do you think it needs a less radical and less expensive. thanks
at the moment I have no photos
