New F-28 Owner

Post by gofish103 »

Hey everyone!!! Im pleased to announce the my family and I are the new proud owners of a 1976 Trojan F-28. We bought the boat last Saturday and cant wait to venture out on our first voyage. We are going to keep it at Marblehead, Ohio... havent decided on a Marina yet so any input would be helpful.

But first Im looking for several items that will be very helpful. Being our first trojan boat let alone our first twin engine boat Im looking for owners manual, electrical schematics, plumbing schematics and so fourth.

So if anyone has any links that will help, it will be greatly appreciated.

MAZEL TOV on your new baby!!! like others on this site, you will find we are passionate about our trojans....... i cannot tell you how many ''old timers'' at my marina say, ''this is such a classic boat---i have a 1976 f-32--the hulls are strong and they have a lot of life left in them if taken care of and some updates added. let us know when you get some pics of her. as for twin engines, even though you double your maintenence, the fact that you can put one in fwd and one in rev makes docking very simple. all of us will be glad to assist.

Thanks guys for the welcoming.

Family and I was up at the lake last night getting out alot of stuff left behind by the previous owner. took down the bimini frame and hope they get the boat out of the water today. suppose to have 40 knot winds on sunday.

the wife already is ready to dismantle the original set up in the salon and bring in new furniture. so we took some measurements of the areas and we've been online searching for a sofa bed.

does anyone have any experience removing the dinette benches and table??? are there any obstructions that we are going to run into with putting a sleeper sofa there.

what about the port side bench? there are three or four round vents with wire mesh screens in them. what are these for????? we are thinking about removing the bench and placing a fold out table. and couple chairs.
