Water system pump
Just winterized the boat and I realize the jabsco belt driven,I believe is a 36950 needs either a complete redo or replacement as it sounds like a loud sewing machine---- any ideas as to what are good fresh water system pressure pumps to replace the jabsco--- thanks Mike

Re: Water system pump
mike, those pumps are designed to be rebuilt and worked on. the belt driven pumps work, and work well. try doing a search on google for 'jabsco belt driven pump rebuild' or even contact defender marine. all you need is the model type and go from there. the belt pump that is on ENTERPRISE actually was the ORIGINAL belt driven pump used on BUBALA3, the 1972 tri cabin i grew up on. in the mid 1980's, dad had it removed and rebuilt and replaced that one with a spare, thus using the rebuilt model as the back up. after he sold the boat, it followed him from san diego back to northern virginia. when i bought the tri cabin, the belt pump that was on it needed similar attention. dad gave me the rebuild and i have the old one as a spare, that too being rebuilt. yeah they are not the quietest guest at the party, but they are hearty. they are even used as shower sumps on some trojan models. and they are expensive when purchased new. so, don't give up on your little belt pump. she can be brought back to life. btw.... sent you a private message
