I am in the middle of some major work so I want to post some progress.
But before that here is a little backround on the vessel and how I got to this point.
This is the old "Black Jack" some of you may remember, bank repo, sitting in FL for a few years, then I put her on trailer and had her hauled up to South Amboy NJ (too expensive to cross over into NY)
I traveled to Jersey for weeks before she was ready to make the voyage to Freeport Long Island where I have a slip.
Then for 2 seasons I did some upgrades, and used her as much as I could.
June of 2012 I took her around Manhattan and up the East river, after spilling out in the Hudson river, I stopped at Chelsea Piers to let some guests off. When I got back into the Hudson river I couldnt get the port engine to go above 1100rpm's.
So I crawled back at 1100rpms, both motors still running.
This is what I found just sitting on top of the head on the port engine when I took the cover off...
