Bridge removal for transport F32
has anyone ever removed their bridge for transportaion? looks like a hassle with wires etc, The steering looks easy, mine is chains and pullys, 1973 F32, in the past ive stored in a friends business lot not far from the ramp so pulling the bridge was not nessary but I have some work Id like to do and would like to have her in my driveway but my neighbors power lines cross and is pretty low, im wondering if anyone has made plugs for the wiring for easy removal or if they can somehow stretch around and leave the dash on the bridge or something, anything other than taking every one off then putting back on

K4282,
Everything is color coded in the wire loom. It is actually divided up in I belive 3 sections. The first has the most wires and the others have less. Looks harder than it is. Don't forget the trans and throttle cables, mark them with tape so it's a no brainer to re-install. You will need 4 strong people to lift outside bridge shell down to the cabin and front deck. Good luck

The Bridge is already setup for removal, with wiring plugs. All F-32 and F-30 flybridges were dealer installed after transport from the factory. The dealer actually drilled the bridge screw holes and set it.

Use a lowboy trailer which puts the keel within a foot of the road and you should be able to get away with only removing the wind deflector glass, steering wheel and the shifters....
The bridge surround is lower than the console so you get another 4" by just laying the console flat on the bridge floor..... no need to disconnect all those wires except in your case maybe open the steering chain.
