Thanks Todd, it definitely has been a crash course, I caught my self shaking my head several times! I'm pretty close to re-launching, and will finish up the interior once I'm in the water. I will have to update my thread. You've done an amazing job, soon it will be your time to relax and enjoy!

I made up my new engine harnesses and ran everything back to the panel. just need to figure out how to connect the short harness with the longer run using terminal blocks instead of the original square plug connections.

Still trying to figure the best place for the new terminal blocks that will replace the old corroded engine harness plugs. the Blue sea p12 charger is installed and wired up. waiting for the plug that it was supposed to come with to attach wires to ACR wires.
Finally got around to finishing off the forward berth and ridding the boat of the last of the "red valor fabric"!!!. went with my "Tommy Bahama " fabric to cover the bed rail . replaced the red fabric on the base of the bed with white vinyl.
Dug out the cockpit boxed and started cleaning them up. I believe I can salvage the rectangular ones. since they are plastic I used Gflex epoxy to fix two cracked corners. I plan on lightly sanding and painting them white. Not sure about the front boxes as the flanges are pretty cracked up. may try to fix them or may just make covers out of starboard.

Decided to take a different approach on the cockpit boxes. was planing on spraying them with awlgrip but the PO covered old speaker holes in the boxes with a piece of white formica. It was actually a good fix . I had never noticed it . my concern was the old paint was chipping around the edge of the formica and I didnt want the awlgrip to do the same. I decided to use 3m uv 4000 caulk around the edge of the filler panel to fill the gap then sprayed white plastic dip rubber paint. the plastic dip is flexible so I'm hoping it wont chip or crack. Turned out pretty good but will have to wait to see if they hold up.
finished the interior trim around the cabin door. Was a PITA due to the angles and position of the headliner panels. I reluctantly went with oak threshold from home depot since the mahogany I have wasn't wide enough. I am planning on staining it black so it should blend in with my cabin accent fabric. if that doesnt work I'll paint it black.
Got tired of waiting for help to remove the swim platform so I did it myself (Huge PITA)! 12 bolts, one pair of vice grips to hold the head of the bolt from the stern, climb up into the boat, climb down into the bilge, remove nut, climb back down and repeat 12 times! I spent an hour drilling the new swim platform mounting Channel . For those who dont remember, I mistakenly mounted my swim platform 3 inches low. most of the mounting holes got filled in during the paint prep. I found holes that lined up but they were wrong. I ordered new stainless angle 3 inches longer and am simply using the old holes and adding a new one at the top. I did have to patch the bottom hole on the outside two mounts and am using the original size channel since longer channel will interfere with the trim tabs.

Got the removable swim platform handrails installed. new bolts for the swim platform came today so hopefully ill have it back on soon.

I used Starboard for my own replacement backing plates, which was........... OMG 12 years ago !

I used bought 3 inch wide 12 inch long 1/2 thick structural fiberglass I got from mcmaster carr as backing plates. also increased the bolts from 5/16 to 3/8 and used 2x2 stainless steel square washers that are 1/4 thick. Previously I had laid additional glass over the inside of the entire transom and added plywood gussets to take out any transom flex from the platform! this thing could probably support the weight of the entire boat!
Honey came down and helped me get everything bolted up at the correct height.
Wont be splashing before next spring as I "STILL" am waiting on my engines!

Its funny you said that Harris. I was working on the boat the other day , things were going well and I realized that I love the challenge of figuring out how to do new things. I actually think I'm enjoying working on her more I'll enjoy using her!
