Air in exhaust water

Dear all
I resently replaced the exhaust manifold gaskets on my F32 360 chrysler starboard engine. Fresh water cooled.
All went fine ,but now the water coming out of my starboard side exhaust is aeriated. Unlike the the port side where the water looks clear.
Any ideas
I'm concerned that the air in the water will not allow proper heat transfer

Have you gone for a run yet? Sometimes you just need to run it at cruise speed and burp the air out.

Also check the there are no leaks around the manifolds. Look for dripping water or the sound of sucking air.

I have not taken it out since I replaced the gaskets.
Winterized right now.

Assuming you are using a "plunger" on the intake, you could be getting a little air in there. If you have enough flow, you can try goosing the throttle a little. I often have to do this when winterizing to start a siphon flow.

If it were me, and I had no leaking water, sucking air, or smoke coming from the new gasket, I would not worry about it and look at it on splash day. I have only done this once on an OMC and I don't even recall paying attention to that... It didn't leak when I tested it, and it ran fine and didn't get hot after I launched it.

Perhaps someone with more experience can chime in.

Come spring I will give that a try.
Everythings seems ok. No leaks or noise.
There is a slight differance in the sound of the exhaust compared to the port side

how does you oil look ? i had a simular issue changed the gasket on my 440s and had air bubbles coming out of exhaust also come to find out that water mixed with the oil due to the bolt holes in the heads my 440 do not have blind holes for the mounting studs/bolts so water leaked pass and right into my exhaust and down a valve when engines were off so i belive that when they were running exhaust pressure was overcoming the water pressure in the head and making air bubbles just my thoughts FYI it was both ends that bolts went right into the water jacket

Thanks for the info.
The two end bolts were studs that stayed in the head.
I will have to check the oil this weekend.
If the boat sits for awhile I allways turn the engines over by hand just to make sure that nothing leaked into the cylinders.
Hydro lock is a very bad thing.

well if you had studs that is a good sign that they were still sealed i had bolts and found out the hard way i did not know that the 440 had heads like that i did not reseal bolts just used anti seze and had to flush oil in 30 degree temps the boat was on the hard it was not fun good luck
