Express/mid cabin combination light for arch

Post by BobCT »

While I'm re-doing my arch, I'm going to replace my nav/anchor light. I moved it from the factory location up to the arch a few years ago and wired up a dedicated pole mount Anchor light with the Nav light next to it. I want to consolidate to a single LED light with a 45 degree rake behind the radar dome.

Anyone have a specific light in mind that fits the bill? A lot of them are "pole mount" now and I can't figure out how they wouldn't leak so I'm ideally looking for a permanent mount/folding. I only installed my pole mount anchor light when I needed it and removed it when I was done so I never worried about leaking into the arch.

I just can't seem to find a light that has everything I'm looking for...

After 27 years of it being wrong, I made my anchor light legal by raising it with a pole light from We$t Marine. It actually is two lights in one, all-around white and aft-facing white, or both, depending on how you wire it. The light proper tilts relative to the pole, so if you could come up with a base that suits you, you'd have your 45 degree rake for the pole taken care of. I carry a RIB on edge on my swim platform, so I (am over the winter) going to turn the former stern light into what amounts to a porch light for the swim platform.
I needed a less expensive hobby, so I bought a boat!
