Hello all,
I purchased a 1996 Trojan 440 Express (420HP Cats) about 3.5 years ago and noticed significant galvanic corrosion. I later determined the bonding wire to the central zinc was broken which would explain the issue.
I noticed during it’s first bottom painting (3 years ago) the Struts were slightly pink which leads me to believe the corrosion made it’s way to the struts. During the last painting (2 weeks ago) I haven’t noticed a change however it makes me a bit nervous that I may have lost integrity.
Any idea who made this Strut and/or where to find the dimensions? Ideally I would like to order (make) the Struts ahead of time to keep the time in the Yard as short as possible.
Thanks!
