1977 F30 Express AC light bulbs issue with LED's

Post by Svend »

Here is a strange one!!

Up in the forward birth is 2 lightbulb sockets.
One has an old incandescent build which works. I wanted to put in LED bulbs

When I do, they do not work...
Seems very odd to me!

I believe they maybe 12 volt check the voltage . If the voltage matches try reversing the leads . LEDs have to be wire right even some AC ones .

Interesting... I just assumed they were 120V AC... they look like big standard light bulbs..
I guess if i turn of AC panel, they will go out if 120V

thanks!

All of the lightbulbs on my F26 are 12V DC. Some are big and look like 110V AC lightbulbs, but they are not.

those large bulbs are 12V
I have never seen 12V bulbs that look big like a normal light bulb!
I will have to search these out ;-)

thanks again for all input !
