okay gang, here are some pics of my dad's 1972 f-36 tri cabin. he owned her from april of 1972 until march of 2008. how i wish i could have transported her from oceanside, ca for my very own. god knows she was well cared for. and yes, i did get a lump in my throat as i was downloading the pics this morning. whenever i had a san diego layover, i always went down to visit her just to say ''hello''. hey, she was a huge part of my life growing up.
until i can get his profile built here at the trojanboats.net site, he can be reached at the following email address..... m.m.bocknek@gmail.com as the sole owner of her for 36 years, i know he has a wealth of knowledge he can share.
enjoy.

i know, now you know why i was so heart broken when i found out she was sold. talk about a turn key vessel..... hopefully, i can get my 1976 f-32 in as fine a shape as dad had kept our tri cabin. even if i have to put a few thousand into things, i think the f-32 could work out just fine, but, i would not mind having a tri cabin of your design..... less ladders make it easier on our dog.
look for dad to join the group soon. even if i have to build a profile for him, ill do it.
hell, as a 36 year sole owner, he is a wealth of information.

I know the feeling. I grew up on my Dad's new 1974 F-32 and my girlfriend (now wife) spent quite a few weekends on the boat with me and my parents. Now 30 years later we have our own 1978 slightly used F-32 and spend every weekend on her. Can't describe the feeling of having my Dad on the boat with me for the maiden voyage down the shore of Lake Michigan to our home port. I know he misses his old boat as he spends quite a bit of time helping me with mine even though there is not too much left to do on her as far as repairs go.
Boat Name: A TAD TOO MUCH
Model: 1978 F-32 Sedan Cruiser
Engines: Twin Chry 360's 666 hrs original engines
I have a '74 Tricabin and would welcome an original owner, even if he is currently "between" boats.
There is so much that can change from one owner to the next, one upgrade to the next, one retrofit to the next, that even with the original owner's manual, I find myself scratching my head sometimes wondering what someone else was thinking.
i have just finished building his profile on here. i know he is going to be a great addition to the group.
his name is mendel, and he is a retired physician now living in springfield, virginia. one of the great things i remember about our f-36 was visiting the niagra on the lake factory when the hull of our boat was being pulled from the mold... hull # 440. i also remember the little old man, pipe in mouth, HAND MAKING the swim platform that was going to be installed on our boat. the swim platform was actually joined to the wooden spray rail and formed one complete unit. it was amazing watching this guy steam the teak as it was being formed. another thrill was the superstructure, upside down, as the bulkheads were installed. the entire assembly was then turned right side up, then lowered into the hull........ his engines were original btw. so gang, welcome dad to the forum, ill send him an email this morning letting him know you are lining up for answers.
