Ok look at your delivery pics and last weekends pics and tell me about big changes.
Used 6v71n in your boat would be pretty cool. Damn cool actually. I don't know if you could get the inline 6 in yours, but the 6v I think would fit.
You have got to be kidding
In its lightest form 2570 lbs Its no small engine .
Anyway this is a great thread lets keep it on track and hopfuly we will here from Jerry .

Hello all!
It is a rainy friday evening here so I thought I would spend a bit of time on updating this thread..... If I can remember how!

This is the blower drive shaft going back in.
The little piece of speedometer cable looking thing in the end of the shaft is what drives the tachometer.

Hooking up the blower drive and outer housing.

All done with blower drive.

On goes the rebuilt raw water pump. (As long as I had it off I ripped it apart and installed new bearings, seals and impeller.

Tranny cooler going back on.

A moment of silence was held for the finger that I lost off of one of my gloves.

Starting the electrical now.

Fast forward to most of the electrical hooked up, starter in and starter solenoid on.

Hooking closed cooling water pump to oil cooler and cooling lines.

On go some cooling lines.

Putting some silicone hose on the puke tanks.

Front oil lines installed over the cooling lines.

Oil filter mount and hoses along with primary fuel filter mount.

A birds eye view..... Isn't that pretty!

More cooling lines going on. Trying to get everything ready for the heat exchanger to go back on.

Front of engine is ready for heat exchanger.

I bet you thought this pic was going to be of the heat exchanger going on....
This is the intercooler and fuel cooler. I was about to take it all apart to paint and have the cooler pressure tested and have the intercooler core tanked while it was apart.
The two flaps that you see are spring loaded and are actuated by a cable on the bridge just in case the engine would ever run away.

Pretty ugly in there.

This is a shot of the intercooler core itself.
Getting the exhaust manifold ready to get cleaned up and painted.

Here is the head being lowered back down into place.

I cleaned the head all up and found it to be in very good shape, all within spec except for the injector tubes so I had new ones installed and also installed all new injectors.

Putting the seals in place along with the crush rings.

Everything in place and ready to lower the head.

Head lowered in to place and starting to install and tighten head bolts.

Torque to spec..... I think I need a longer ratchet!

Head installed and ready to install injector supply and return lines.

These things are pretty delicate so you have to be careful.

Tightening to proper torque. I may have been off slightly because of the use of the crows foot but I we could not find any other way to get in there to tighten them down.
Fuel lines all on and now installing injector rack.

On goes the govenor.

And on goes the exhaust manifold. That thing is heavy!

Nice shot of the top of my head.... I was tired from putting that manifold on so I sat down and rested for a while.
I didn't know that Dave took my camera.

Here I am pretending to do something.

Shut down solenoid installed.

Hooking up sweep tube. It connects the exhaust manifold to the turbo... and gets VERY hot!

Sweep tube all done.

Back to the front of the engine to install the plate that holds the heat exchanger on.

Thermostat housing.... There is a $175.00 thermostat in there.
