Yeah Marine Max. But according to Tony he already has Sea Ray decals!Read earlier post, he admitted it. My wannabe 'admiral' is the Carver lover! Thats why she can't get her commision! My 'Fleet Admiral' is 8 1/2 mos. old. He already knows the boat by sight. As far as Solomons I WILL be there WITHOUT having to be towed in by a Carver or Sea Ray!   And theres nothing wrong with coal oil burners. Wish I had a pair in mine! I might after Solomons!!

coal oil burners ? Lets hope one one gets towed by anyone , But never say never . But I would say the chances of not having proplems are better with my #2 fuel oil burners ,

Anyway , back to the reason of the post . There are 12 Marinas in the Solomons , Anyone have any recommendations ? 4 that come to mine are Zahniser's yachting center (they also have mooring balls ) Spring cove ( been there and like it) Solomons Yachting center ( small) . and Calvert marina ( other side of creek but I know the have hosted large groups before)

One of the main things would be can they host a group and keep them close together .

As the new guy, I feel compelled to ask, "When?"

'Cuz, you know, if I'm going to motor from Nabbs to the Pax, I want to drag some shad rigs.

Legally for a change...

Paul don't you have problems with algae in your fuel down there? I know a couple people running out of Hoopers Island that gave up and now carry the fuel to there boats. The one guy his boat was brand new first refuel and he got loaded with the crud. He bought fuel polishing system and conditioners nothing worked. He finally pumped the tank empty, vacummed it out and started hauling 55gal drums down the peir. No problems since then. He wasn't the only one all the commercial boats were having a bad time with it. Just wondering if you had that kind of problem down there.

algae ? in diesel fuel ? never happen. But there are things that grow in diesel fuel and evey one calls it "algae" , With that said we are not haveing any issues down here , sounds like somone got a bad load of fuel. this so called algae really is not growing in the fuel it self but in the water thats gotten mixed with it , Bad fuel can be a pain . polshing fuel Is one of the biggest crocks there is Unless you dont use your boat.. what they do is circulate the fuel thru a filter to clean it . well thats fine . But if run your boat your doing the same thing. My engine recirculate 70 gal for fuel thru them a hour thats per engine runing thru 2 filter per .

Well it's all coming together. The wife likes the idea of Solomons. I have recruited a friend (Roger) to ride along with me. It's still early by we may try to leave Norfolk on Thursday with a stop over in maybe Deltaville. My wife (Paula) and Rogers girlfriend will drive up from Hampton Roads on Saturday morning to spend Saturday Night. Roger and his girlfriend may spend the night in the Comfort Inn in Solomons, depending on what Marina we are all in. Looking forward to it guys.

I really like the information that I am gathering.

However this is the second time in two days that I have read posts with the overtones generated here. My question is am I to expect this type of supposed banter if this is so I will gladly refrain from use of the site.
