That is awful, you asked why they did not just open the door. Having been a police officer for 32 years on truism rings out about thieves, they are always stupid about all things in life. For instance it is a simple fact they could make more money with a little work than they can stealing. The think stealing is the easy way but many times they work harder to get someones property than they would have at a job.

Hope the thief trips his hand, as he will eventually, the sad thing is you may never know it.

When I got my F26, I bought the flimsiest lock I could find, reasoning that the thieves would have no problem cutting it. As it aged, it will no longer lock, but I leave it hanging on the door hasp, hoping they easily gain access and will just steal everything inside than break the door (much preferable in my opinion) getting in. Now I think I will take the padlock off the door and leave it unlocked.

Funny thing about the Queen"s english. As I was leaving Heathrow one time I saw a sign for " Way out and Long Term Parking". I thought to myself, "geez, If they are calling it Way our Parking, it must really be cheap. Later I learned that "way Out " is British for "Exit"!!!!

Whan at the old marina where we used to birth, and when traveling at a strange marina we lock up.

AT home behind the house on a lift, we leave her unlocked.

Sorry to hear about your loss.

Just another update:

I have found my props....... :D And the guy who stole them! :( I came over him late Tuesday night. He lives aboard a wooden boat 100 meters away. He is an old crackhead. The props was laying on the dock, under a blanket. The fishing rods was sold, and so also rest of the stuff he´ve stolen. Lucky me, I had a old wood bat in the car, and I used it :) . Well, I didn´t kill him, but Police officer asked me why he was bleeding from the face. He got a nasty cut right over the left eye, and was bleeding a lot. I answered the cop the thief was a bit clumsy and fell on the dock, stumbling in some rope..... I guess the guy (croock) also got some slaps down at the PD Office.....

So today I have changed the hatches on the deck. Took away the old white, cracked and leaking ones, and put on the new homemades. I also changed the hatch seal / rubber band with a new 7/16" soft rubber. And I have finished the repair of the windshield. Got new glasses from my brother i law, he is a "glass guy". And I unpacked the brand new curved corner windows from Ocean Dynamics in US. They was expencive, approx $3900,00US Dollar. Plus freight. The only thing I miss now is templates for a Camper Canvas. Or a complete canvas...... (HELP!!)

#2 Hatch. Don´t put in comments about the marks after tapes around the hatches, they will be taken away with a mild rubber cleaner.

Nice hatches pk. Good job finding the thief too. Props are expensive to replace.

PK,

You are my new hero.

In our politically correct (and now religiously suppressed) USA, we can't do anything like that. In fact, YOU would be thrown in jail, and they might give the crackhead your boat as restitution for his injuries, both physical and mental.

Go PK!
