All you guys with small kids and grandkids.....here's a great idea to save on gas AND get them in great swimming shape (think scholarships when they graduate from HS).....get 'em to hang on the back of the swim platform and practice their kicking! We have 5 grandkids with one more on the way next month.....I'll be replacing my 225 hp single with a 6 "gk" ... SWWEEEEET!!

Im sure glad I live in the south on the texas coast
we are paying about a dollar less a gal than what im see from all your post
I filled up at our marina for 3.55 agal and I thought that was high
its still more than at the pumps of 3.05gal for your car,
so much for the my loop cruze this summer think Ill head south in the ICW and try texas cruzin where gas is cheaper

Hamilton, Ontario... 147.7 a litre for regular, 152.7 for premium this past weekend. That would be $5.61 / $5.80 for a US gallon (and even worse for a Cdn gallon!)
San Diego prices are nuts!

Filled up in March @ $4.23
Filled up in May @ $4.79
Today it's $5.59 in Oceanside Harbor.
The only thing that pisses me off is that these guys fill there tanks maybe 3 times a year. ( lots of sailboats in this harbor )
I'll update in July !

I don’t know about the rest of you Trojan-ears, but I am sure of this. We all have worked very hard to have our boats and enjoy them, I will be dammed if I will let some greedy futures investors take that away from me. If gas were to go to $10.00 a gal, I will still be boating as much as I do now, I will just tap into the beer budge (Like hell I will!!)

hello all
does everyone know tha you can get the DOT tax that is put on fuel back
it adds up to some big savings
there is a form to fill out and send in at tax time
its worth it
Im not sure of the web site but just go to google and type in marine fuel tax refunds
If it doesnt roll on the highway dont pay the high way tax !!!!!!!!

The marina gas price on Bluestone Lake in Hinton WV is 4.50 a gallon, but like the rest of you, I have come to far, worked to hard, for days on end and in a snowstorm, to see her sitting on a trailer when its 90 and blue out and the bikinis are wanting to go for a boat ride. It would take more than that to stop all that fun up here in the mountains.

I'm thinking a set of locking gas caps would not hurt. People might start getting desparte, if prices keep going up.

Dreamer,
Not a bad Idea, if we were on the city streets. I think at the marina, we could leave a $100 dollar bill on deck and no one will take it.
Yeah Yeah I know, leave the money on the deck and tell you guys where I am
My point, us boaters are not like that we would give the gas away to someone that needed it.
No tax refund in Michigan

Our wonderful Great Lake State does not have a program to refund highway taxes on fuel for boaters. Just another case of our governor doing everything possible to make sure that our state has the worst economy. Guess I will just have to spend more on fuel and taxes to try and stimulate the economy.
