there's something to be said for mating the best engine to a particular hull.

the range of horsepower, Weight and fit (height/width/legnth) are important to a good marriage

A bad choice could end up in a miserable existence or a divorce.

MY 6BTAs barely fit under my F32 floor (one floor cross member on each side is notched out to clear the intercoolers).

The Cat 3126 is a bit teller as I recall from other boats I've looked at.

$30k to replace? Probably not. Maybe the engines, but there will be LOTS more.

Good advice. I studied Boatdiesel.com for about a year before I decided on 5.9 Cummins.
