So, what type of material are the side panals on the bridge of my '74 Trojan Tri cabin? I think it is plexyglass and it is , I believe, original equipment.

While we're on the subject, what about the hatch covers?

Mine are crazed like crazy.

REALLY!

Are the hatches on the Internationals (solid white acrylic, no trim or metal other than the hinges and latches) the same as the F series?

tri cabin bridge side windows

Post by aaronbocknek »

JIMBO36--- when my dad purchased our 1972 f-36 tri cabin new, one of the things that he disliked most on the original command bridge design was the lack of a 'solid' side window. the original design had a canvas/side curtain window assembly and when he ordered her, he called trojan and asked if they could put a plexiglass panel there instead. after several back and forth phone calls and letters to the factory, they finally agreed (dad said he would rip up the contract if they would not) and BUBALA 3 was manufactured with the plexiglass side windows, and thus set the benchmark for all tri cabins delivered from the factory after that. the factory and trojan actually thought this was a better, stronger design. after our hull was popped from the mold, the factory called all the other potential owners telling them that a 'design change' took place and that their tri cabins would be delivered with the 'new' enclosed command bridge. so, to answer your question, yes, it is clear plexiglass that is on your tri cabin.
hope this answers your question.
