low oil pressure follow-up

yeap the bypass system is in the filter housing, is in there just in case the filter gets glogged up

Got down to the boat today and reinstalled the oil pressure sending unit and tested the motor.....results are ok. 40+ when cold at idle and 15-20 or so when warm at idle.....not sure what changed but I won't argue......I will go forward and keep an eye on it............thanks again to everyone for your input.........gotta love this site, lots of good help given freely.......it is appreciated!!!!!!............John

I believe GM's oil pressure acceptance is 10 psi per 1,000 rpm. Of course on a warm motor, she'll drop a bit.
