You posted the tread “1971 F31 generator question†Nov. 12,2008 asking about generators. The forum told you to only install a marine generator below deck, be very careful using a portable generator on the boat or dock. Exaust fumes can be deadly. Carrying gasoline for the generator is dangerous. Spilled fuel will settle in the bilge and is explosive. Most of the replies from the members were against the idea of using a portable generator on a boat.
You can use a portable generator on your boat, but don’t recommend this foolish idea to other members. It’s a bad idea, it will always be a bad idea, and nothing you can ever say will ever make it a good one!
