Leaking out of the steering cable boot ? Do you mean the hydrauliccly boot ? if so then the cly needs seals /overhaul.

Its a rubber boot in the swim platform clamped on the arm connected to the rudders. im going to have to pull the boat. Just want to say THANKS to all for the help and suggestions. Tried them all. NO luck :-(. Will let you know the out come when I find out. :-) Paul :roll:

Well all, I took it out of the boat. Would you believe that is was pretty simple. Disconnected at the rudder, then took off hoses off the cly, leaked some fluid but not to bad and the whole thing screwed out through the stern. Found the rebuild kit for it but still having trouble finding the boot. It clamps to the outside of the stern with a two inch opening. About twelve inches long and it goes down to five eights and clamps to the steering shaft. If you know of any place to fine this it would surely help. TY again Paul
