New carpet in Tri cabin

When I put carpet in the salon the first chunk I bought was berber and the carpet guy (who used to install carpet in the new Tollycrafts) advised not to use berber because of the unraveling edges so I got the short shag and he just cut in the hatches and you can't tell the hatches are there except for the small pull ring on the floor. I can't remember the type of carpet it is but it doesn't unravel.
