I did not see any scuff marks or scratches on the hull anywhere, and the weight of the buoy was down low, so if it hit I imagine it would have rubbed along the hull somewhere.

You would think there would be scuff marks. I think when it hit it just shattered everywhere. It does not looke like it was that thick of a hull. One must take into account speed and weight of the boat. Must have been a nasty hit not a glancing blow. I wonder where the captain was?

Capt. was at the helm he swears he didn't hit anything and that buoy is plastic and showed no damage from a hit, This boat just came apart and Bertram is in c.y.a. mold. in one report the capt. herd a loud crack and a few moments she started coming apart.
