Hi Bob,

You basically have to look at all of the power demands that you'll have during your time on the hook. For example if your fridge draws 3 amps and it runs for a total of 5 hours per day, it'll use 15 amp/hours per day.
Include all the items that you'll use in a day such as lights, water pump, stereo, etc then add them all up and this will be your daily power demand. Then multiply this by the amount of days you'll be on the hook and this will be your total demand. Your battery bank should be sized so that you drain it down to about 60% but not less than 50%.

The calculator that Paul attached in his post is a handy item and should be very helpfull in figuring your house bank size.
