worse comes to worse, you can always do what i do, and just tell the wife to stop flying around on her broom and use it to knock down the spider webs and then have her wash the boat every day.

and after she finishes beating you silly, try these other ideas.

Did any of these ideas work? My boat sat in dry storage in North East Maryland for 4 years... It is LOADED with spiders. I was going to use a bug bomb. I don't know what else to do.

I also use Roloff from West Marine and it works wonders on spider crap and doesn't remove the wax..

For whatever reason, this year has been relatively spider-free for me. I don't know why but I am not complaining. I am not doing anything different but have seen only a couple of webs and about 5 spiders all season - and they were very small.

I am crossing my fingers that it stays that way.

I bought Bill's boat; he bombed it before we got it but there were still some of the nasties around.

Ended up buying some dry bombs from Home Depot, opened all the cupboards, lockers, hatches, etc., then fired off one in the cabin and one in the canvas-enclosed pilothouse/cockpit. No problems since...

Roloff from West Marine works good on the poop. I use Home Defense from the home goods store as a preventative.

As others stated, dock lines, rub rails, door jams, hidden nooks and crannies. It has worked good for me, no spiders.

Our docks are infested with spiders. I was at the local discount store not long ago and purchased one of those bug deterring strips. I do not have the name of it now, but it's a plastic cartridge with a deoderant type product within it. It says it lasts for 4 months, so I thought I would try it out.

I placed it below my cabin entry steps, and went ahead with putting about 8-10 dryer sheets in various lockers and cabinets. The results have been great after a few weeks. There are still a TON of spiders building webs on the lines, and outside, but I have yet to see a web or spider below decks. The bounce sheets have also helped rid the "boat smell" and make it more pleasent down below.

I will try and find the name of the product I used, and will update after the 4 month mark, but so far I am pleased.
