Rodman,

Good to hear that you had a good weekend on your boat. Its early in the season so hopefully you'll have many more. As for your transmission, I thought that the F-26 & F-25s all came with 1:1 gear ratios. Did you change the trans your self? When myself and a few other F-26 owners suggested Ø14 x 9-13 props, we were assuming the 1:1 trans. Keep us posted on which pitch you end up with.

I am open to all suggestions and answers`s I am willing to try anything to make it right. I will look for a 14x 18 prop see if I can find one and try it.[/quote]

I had tried a 14x14 after my repower and couldn't get more than 3400rpm. That was with 330hp and a 1:1
Thanks for sharing the photos, looks like you had a great time!

I spoke to a prop shop they said that 16x18 was indeed what I needed. They tried to sell me a 4 blade 16x18 I declined it. The transmission was pulled out two years ago and replaced. That`s why I was told it was 1 and 1/2 ratio. And with a 1 and 1/2 ratio that is the correct prop size.

I solved that issue long ago. Initially after the repower the yard ran the numbers through their prop shop and said I needed a 14x14. We ended up with a 14x10 with full cup and are where we need to be.

Rodman, are you a v-drive or straight shaft? That does sound in the ball park for a 1 1/2 to 1
