Is it the black, hard plastic Mercury pump?

It looks just like the one that wowzer52 posted pics of, the two end pieces are metal and the center section is hard and very light, so assuming that, that part of it is plastic.

wowzer- thanks for the info on the pump and merc parts number. Gave it to my local dealer and was able to get it put on today and let it idle in the yard with a hose attatched to it for about an hour or so and didnt get above 140, so going to get er wet tomorrow.

FYI - SIERRA makes replacement Mercury/Mercruiser parst (as well as many others). Their quality is top notch, and this impeller kit is only $58 list.
