That makes sense, why give a perfectly good anchorage up for a short run, I primarily use my f25 for offshore fishing, and in the process of getting the 36 tri-cabin cleaned up to start restoring it, will probably get a dinghy for it.

if I were ocean boating I would not use a dinghy... but inland lake systems require one as there are some great places to visit that are shallow. I have even portaged my dinghy... luckily the Walker Bay had wheels

Ocean or bay crusing if its over night or more I bring the dingy (rib)

I never leave the dock with out one, Never know when we go out on Friday or Saturday if we'll be back before Monday, and the puppies need their walks.
