On my f25 the blower was located between the two vents about halfway between the deck and the top of the gunwale, so the vents were actually pulling fresh air in and the blower was blowing it out the side, look for about a 2.5" mesh screen on the port side of the boat almost to the end of the cockpit area.

And do NOT put a rubber hose in place of the fuel filter. You need filtering - for dirt and water. Since we now are forced to use Ethanol, your fuel will attract water and you'll need to check/change/drain this filter from time to time (so buy spares).
Often, you can simply pour out the fuel/water in the filter (not in the lake/ocean), refill it with new gas and replace it - as the water builds up long before the filter becomes clogged with dirt.
