oh another thing, Enterprise was what we considered to name our boat and then we could name our dingy "klingon"
I envy your ability to name a boat so easily

Way to go , Aaron! You took your time and left no stone unturned. Your story is a perfect one on how to buy any used boat. Best of luck with your new home.

Enterprise is a great name and glad you chose it. I am also a trekkie and have enjoyed the entire series from the original through the current offerings and movies.

i'm going to try to have the maryland dept of natural resources to change the registration number if i do not have her documented. naturally, i will want something with 1701 in it. i've always wanted to name a vessel ENTERPRISE, and my nephews are extatic at the prospect. can you imagine coming into a marina and saying over the vhf....''this is ENTERPRISE, requesting docking instructions" i cant WAIT to use that.
i've already contacted the transom paint guy, and i know she is not mine until closing which is on the 23rd---it will be the LONGEST week of my life. anyway, he asked what color the name should be and i said i wanted all caps, no slants in the font, bright red lettering with black outlines.
i guess i cant put on the transom

Making that call when entering the harbor would be great and I think having all that you listed is a good idea also. Good luck with getting the 1701 in the registration number and what a neat touch. Let us know how that goes and when will you be able to get us some photos of the new lady?

What a story. Glad you found the boat you want. It always is a great day when you can take her out for the first time.

Congrats Aaron, really nice to see you ending up with all and apparently even more than you'd had hoped for. The fact that this Tri was actually discovered right in your home locale was a pleasant bonus.
Thanks as well, for your comments as relating to my questions regarding "tricabin layouts". You've cleared up a couple of things there for me.
Cheers
Rick
