Thanks guys. I'll photobucket some pics tonight. Spent the day scrounging for helm and pax seats. They are far from original but they are in. Companionway door won't fully extend or close with the pax seat in so I may have to move them back 2". Still no engine. Need raw water pump and fab mounting bracket, need to have alternator tested, finish fabbing heat exchanger stand, and fab a mount for the tranny cooler.

For a while there I missed building hotrods...

OK so I'll do it now....

318 coming out
Image

I almost feel bad pulling this one. It only had 60 hours on the meter. But it's seized from lack of use and is an automotive block and counter rotates. We're going to try to free it and I have the correct prop. If anyone is interested it will be on Craigslist soon.
Image

It was pretty clean for a boat slipped for over 7 years. Only took me an hour to scrape and powerwash.

Fresh bottom, new shaft seal and prop

Back in the creek, only 48 hours out.

Rebuilt GM 350, bored .030 over, hand polished, all new gaskets and seals, almost done building up. Red paint makes it go faster, right? Will post more tomorrow.

Great Pictures, Thanks for posting.

It looks like someone tried to pass that Chrysler 318 off as a Caterpillar Diesel by painting it yellow.

Raw. But a wealth of parts. If I can unstick it I'll sell it whole soon. If not, I'll part it out in the Spring and scrap the block.
