this year i changed seacocks strainers and the scuppers (the raw water intakes) thay were 3/4 inch i went with the same size as the raw water pump witch is 1 1/4 im fully fwc now the old seacocks were pvc ball valves thay were thair when i bought the boat even with the new seacocks i close them when shes tyed up i have a pre departure check list and its amazing how manny people just get in and go

Larglo, Make a largish "open seacock!" sign to hang over the throttle and/or the ignition, or you risk firing her up with no coolant. On a rwc engine this can ruin your impellor quickly.

I made a similar sign for my swim ladder that hooks to the side of the boat. Since I installed the ladder under the swim platform, my "raise the ladder" warning is the rooster tail behind the boat!

Now that sounds like a great idea! Much like a pilot's check list before taking off. That will be a great project this winter. I'll have to figure out how to water proof it too.
