i thought i would at least post where you can get both warm white and cool white led rope light. i bought my 12v led rope lights from these guys. you can either get one long piece or have them cut it the length you want. they also have all kinds of other colors. red, blue etc.

I was thinking of putting some around the cockpit, cabin already has this in 110V, but was wondering if white light would attract moths and bitey bugs. Maybe a coloured rope wouldn't attract them as much, but I'd prefer white.

Just recieved my new led double dome lights for the dinette & head .Look great. In the salon area there is a wood valance (port & starboard}with 3 -12 volt floreseant lights.Considering using 12- volt rope light.Should i go with cool white or warm white?.

Picked the daylight color. havent installed yet as to the snow .Read a previos post on these lights (topic- new led lights). They worked great in a darkened room. Will order the warm white led rope light next week & use the remainder to go on the bow rail.

I have done a lot of the same including the cockpit and bridge...makes for a great look at night as all of mine can be any color I choose, so sometimes, white, sometime red, sometimes orange...all 110 volt and I removed the converter and wired them directly to the 12 v, so cost was low as well. Great look!

Also did the underwater lighting for a hundred bucks...love that as well. That is only white so I am now adding blue so I will have two sets of colors there.
