Totally agree with paul. When I bought my last boat the port side had same problem. Double checked tach and found it was really idling at 650 rpm. Tuned her up and adjusted idle speed and never heard a click again.

Thanks for the info. I've spent a dozen hours with a long screwdriver to the ear trying to figure out what it is. Its only at low rpm. Its a real light clicking sound. I've only heard it when I have the hatches open in the spring / fall when doing maintenance. The first mate says she's heard it once or twice. So, I'm officially ignoring it now.
