I think Paul is trying to get to the rendezvous by car and then boat back to kinsale with us. Anyone want to give he and his lady a ride? After the rendezvous we plan to go up the Potomac to DC. Anyone else up for that?

Wes, then I think the plan should be that you, Paul, Tony and anyone else, should just bypass Kinsale this year and come stay at my marina. No pool but a great town with plenty of supplies, great food and entertainment right at the marina or you can go into town. Love to have you guys come on up. It's a good midway point to DC., about 26 miles up from Kinsale.

Colonial Beach, VA- The playground on the Potomac!

Where are you planning on staying in DC?

Hi Jamie,
We don't travel very fast and kinsale is about 100 NM from the rendezvous. When we get closer to the departure date we'll firm up plans. I'm hoping to stay at the Capital Yacht Club in DC.

From my perspective, this is a few boaters that like to travel places, meet and exchange ideas and experiences, along with a chance to show off their boat.
I met Paul and other Trojan owners 2 years ago at the "official" Chesapeake rendezvous put on by a group that used to arrange a big rendezvous each year. Their number had dwindled and they are trying to keep it going. Paul doesn't want to interfere with their efforts and possible help them continue and grow. That's how I first heard about them. Since it's a VERY long trip for us, we don't do it every year. This year we'll be going to DC and asked if anyone wanted to meet along the way.
Paul and I have become good friends and try to get together whenever my wife and I are down in his area. We'll be going to the rendezvous at Rock Hall and then meet with others afterward who can't or won't make the trip to the rendezvous. Paul is on the Forum more than most and he helps inform interested people of our intentions in case they might like to join us.
