SRD, that's all well and fine. I merely passed along info, based on what I knew from documentation available. I can appreciate your experience with Island Boat Works and your knowledge of their boats.

Technically, you may be correct but your opening statement and quote, "All wrong..." in your reply to my post, can't be interpreted...or accepted as factual, without anyone knowing the knowledge that you may, or may not have.

Interesting observations, perhaps someone else could chime in on the way she burned, like I said, the glass boats I saw burn, went very quickly to the waterline, and ther was no saving them.
I feel very sad for the owners though.

A cold molded boat is basically a wood boat that is built with the wood enclosed in fiberglass . I have seen them documented as glass and as wood . after all it uses both. Not sure where you would draw the line .

as far as burning I would think it would burn more like wood .
