Paul - what did you hear on this boat? Its only 4 hours from here.

If its fiberglass, I may go look at it (maybe I can talk Larry into going with me).
Ross I sent Bob a email asking when they stoped making a wood flybrige 36 , and he thought it was 68 or 69 .

I would not contact the owner of the one for sale becuse I have no intrest in buying it .
If foofer or anyone was really interested , I would thing they would call .I would If I was looking to buy

The fella called me back - selling for his friend's widow.

Won't send pictures - said he's not gonna do that because its too much work.

It is fiberglass - so its s Sea Raider Tri-Cabin.

The boat is in pretty bad condition - need fiberglass below - and the decks are soft.

The hull hasn't been cleaned in 2-4 years - ouch.

The Detroits (6v53 = 210hp) used to run good - take outs from another boat in North Carolina 8 years ago. Last run 6-8 months ago. 1 engine started a few months back, the other turns over, but won't start (air in lines?).

Batteries are bad. No generator.

Will look for pictures, but he doesn't want people coming by to look at it unless they're serious (why would I drive 250 miles if I wasn't serious?).

Says the boat is very seaworthy.

Also says he is firm on price ...

Anyway - off my list - too much work.

Foofer - That's in your neck of the woods. with the epeienc you got on your recent project, perhaps you would like to take on a bigger project? The boats at the widow's private dock in Palm Harbor on the ICW.

The fella isn't the owner, and he described it as having a V-berth up front and a stateroom at the rear, so its definitely not a Sport Fish (Trojan didn;t make a Fiberglass Spot Fish is 1971 anyway).

If you've got $4,900 and want Detroits (underpowered @ 210HP) then go for it. He said you'd need SeaTow to haul it off, so not sure how much the widow will let you do at the dock to get it running (clean bottom, put in 2 batteries, bleed the injectors n the engine that won't run).

Not worth it for me ... have 4 boats already and too much work to make money on this (plus - divroce is expensive, and I have my eye on a Chaos flats boat).

Photos would be nice , I would not call it under power with 210 DD S as you can run them near the top with out issues won't win races but give you a good cruse . but it sounds like it needs $$$$$ and a lot of TLC

Yes - lots of TLC.

He said they rebuilt the diesels 8 years ago when they installed them, so that's what the $4.9k gets. Not a bad deal if they're in decent condition.

The 4-year (yes) diesel may account for the one engine not running - may have so much bacteria it plugged an injector, or drained back and the pumps/lines/injectors have air in them. Either might be a simple fix.

I think Foofer needs a nice project ...

Boat no longer on Jacksonville Craigslist ... probably tired of people calling to ask about it. He didn't want to deal with buyers at all.

Thats what happens when people call to ask about it . but really have no interest in it . #1 reason to use a broker IMO.

Agreed - but the broker takes the $.

This guy had no idea if I was interested or not. I was, but not going to buy a boat unseen. He didn't know what model it was - I told him. He sad, thanks for the info, but seemed disturbed that I had even called
Anyway - it will still be there in a year or so ...

Going fishing now ... back in time for the 3:00 Masters on TV (been watching online).
