It's a good ideal, and it would be hard to cover all of an engineroom , but on my shipping crate for big blocks one forward port and aft stbd would cover most of it and the gen-set.

Remembered this thread when I saw this on line. Looks pretty cool. You can control (pan) the direction of the camera remotely. You can view on board or from home via the internet. If you're always in a wireless internet area, no wiring needed or hook up to your laptop or NMEA N2K with an ethernet cable. I like!!

This is some good stuff! Whoever gets it done first try posting some pictures to share. Great idea, even for us puny F26 owners. It would be great to have a view of the engine compartment underway. Last year I blew a hose coupling on my trim tabs and spewed hydraulic fluid all over the the muffler. Smoked up the cockpit each time I applied the levellers and I could not put 2 and 2 together until much later when I saw the fluid washing around in the bilge.....A camera view would have let me know what was going on. (Of course, stopping the boat and inspecting the engine compartment might have been the obvious thing to do, also.....)

Shoot, in all the excitement, I forgot about the link. It actually started from one of our Banner adds (yes it did!).

Not quite the same link I had earlier but same product. There are others on the site. Search.

looks like a good ideal but wonder how it would hold up having the sh** shook out of it and exposed to salt air ? where as I know the cameras of the other system the Jamie linked to hold up and the Costco price is about what I pay for them and they're a FedEx vendor.

Only a lengthy field test will determine that Tony. Having said that, I think carefull placement in salt water apps plays a huge role in longevity no matter the product.

What, now I have to "support" you too! The wife won't be happy about keeping purse and shoe purchases to a minimum.
