Well the pump was replaced & now the port engine goes to 3,000RPM WOT. The starboard is at 3,400RPM WOT. The strange thing is that according to my synchronizer they are perfectly synchronized. I'm now wondering if I also may have tachs not reading accurately.

My port engine was sucking air too causing it to pop at high RPMs. Rain water had leaked into the exhaust manifold through the aft deck. I discovered this when I went to replace the valley pan. I also discovered that there was NO gasket between the pan and block nor between the pan and intake. Fixed that.

This past weekend when I went to take her out, I still couldn't get over 2000 RPMs. Could a bent prop be contributing to this? I can rev up to over 3,000 RPM, but when I put into gear and try, can't get over 2000.

what make you think the prop is bent ? does it back fire or pop ? how old are the filters ? anti- siphon valves working right ? is you fuel pump keeping up with demand ? have switched to corn-gas or ran any thur it ? all the above can and cause whats goin' on. O and then there's timing I'll let the mopar guys deal with that

Yes, I think its the props. I grounded her end of last summer (first time) and had to be pulled off. I think that likely damaged both props. I have a spare set and will probably do a short haul to inspect and replace.

As far as all the other issues, I had quite a bit of maintenance done to both engines last summer (over $4K) and just replaced my inline fuel filters again last weekend. If it's not my props, then I'll start checking off these other things, but I'm almost certain my props are damaged.
