hypothetically speaking, wouldn't there be a benefit to supercharging or turbocharging these crusader 454’s? I’m not referring to some highly boosted “on the edge” type of setup but a very modest amount of boost. I know there would be challenges including efi vs. carbs, exhaust manifolds, etc.

But for the sake of conversation, wouldn’t a little bit of boost be a good thing?

Better go for a blower (compressor)....? Higher torque from the first rew (RPM).

The only benefit would be to get more power if thats what you want it would be a good thing , of course just adding boost won't increase power you have to give it more fuel to go with the air. if your looking to save fuel not a good thing . and the more power the more strain you putting on the engine

Since we are on the topic of engine questions, what is everyone's opinon of stroking a 454 or 502? The longer stroke would mean higher torque over the same band, correct?

GM 6.5 Diesel is a weak engine (I don't like them at all) - not a boat motor at all.
