The fact of the matter is at the end of the day anything u use to cut out the oxidation and or stains has grit,, I think heavy duty compound is in the 1200 range,, if ur just trying to get sheen and dont care to restore color just dewax and buff and wax again ,

One thing that will never touch my boat again is any compound other than white,,

Jeff I see your in the "business" what would you do to restore the gelcoat? mine happs to just be above the rail and cockpit areas I'm trying to get back. what would a guy in this business try ?
