Hi Frank - and very welcome here in our gang
As you wrote, you don't want to have any more contact to the former owner ?
(like to our's)
Anyway - look out for a F-32 specialist to introduce you in your new vessel.
I'm a member here since last august and have learned a lot from this
Trojan-Forum guys and gal's ...

This is a good mystery
I havn't seen where he checked the voltage on the batteries, and in this case I would use a real battery tester that can test load....if he's down to just a couple amps might explain it. Maybe the new battery charger has cooked the batteries??
I at first thought of the neutral safety switches but that wouldn't affect the genny.
If the batteries are in fact good, then there has to be a switch problem somewhere because that would be the only common item between all three engines.
Maybe I missed something??

If he has perko switch's maybe one or both could be bad? I would start at the batteries and go from there til I found out why.
Duh, it was easy why the boat wouldn't start

When I replaced the two batteries and installed a working battery charger, we had one wire going to battery A and the 2nd to Battery B. But B was set up with a plug in attachment and when I must have "forced" the top on the battery box for B, the plug came out. I use my meter to check Battery A and it was 13.57 or so. That's why the blower worked and the nav lights, cause they tap into Battery A. Battery B was only 3.57, so NOTHING happened there. We plugged in the wire, let it charge about 30 minutes and the engine started immediately so I let it run to charge the battery. I'll go back in the morning just to be sure but it certainly ran fine once we got the charge in place to get things rolling.
All of you suggestions are things I will add to my check list. As I mentioned, I moved from a 26' Searay single engine I/O to this and the "floorplan" is much more complex and it takes some time to learn it all. Thanks for every suggestion and no, I don't start the engine or turn it off from the flybridge, only at the downstairs helm. That's my next journey to figure all those switches to ensure everything is "on" when it needs to be and "off" when it should be. Your help is greatly appreciate.

I warm the engines up with the lower helm but I will shutdown and start up again from the bridge. If I lose a tranny control cable or otherwise need to shut the engine down in a hurry I wouldnt be able to do it with the lower keys on. On other words starting the engines from below and running the boat up top gives you no engine shutdown ability.

Frank ,I too do agree that its a good idea to use the switchs at the helm you are running boat at . You just never know when you may need to cut off a engine , or restart one when it cuts off docking . (always at the worst time )

I am not sure if the buttons up there work but will try it tomorrow to see. Based on the history of my prior owner, things were in something of a sorry shape so I'm scared to try something when all is working. BUT, as all have mentioned, why drive from the bridge if you can't control everything from there, esp in case of any "situation". Thanks for the help!!
why engine can't start

Thanks for the suggestion to get my "act together" when it comes to the ability to start the engines up top. I went up there and with confidence turned the "loose" knobs (a screwdriver fixed that) and viola!!! Both engines started and stopped as they should. The blower switch and horn worked so now I can be confident when up on the fly bridge.
Again thanks everyone for the help. Now on to getting the Teak to start shining again.
