Bad weather through the holiday voyage kept the chopper grounded. We spent two days holed up in a cove waiting for the seas to be calm enough just to move from point A to B.
Test flying around the house has confirmed though, the results would have definitely been 'crash and sink'. I don't think there is any such thing as a calm enough day to fly this thing outside. As soon as it lifts off, it floats on the breeze like a dendelion, and does not seem to have enough power to overcome even the slightest puff of wind (at least not with me at the controls).
It is a fun toy, but won't take the aerial pictures of the flotilla, like I wanted it to.
Now I'm thinking of a tethered helium, or hot air baloon, with a camera attached?????
