it does have the standup shower.
I've got a few reservations about the 2-year layup as well. As I understand it, water pump impellers are inclined to rot (among other things that I'm as yet unaware of).
What other concerns should I keep in mind?
I'm trying to perserve some level of comfort in having an out-of-water structural survey, mechanical survey AND sea trial done. I would like to think that a two-hour sea trial and mechanical survey will tell me if any major problems are imminent.
Here's hoping.

Thanks, Prowler. It kind of struck me. It's a damned sight cleaner than the '77 I looked at last weekend. His woodwork is striking.

When I hear about a boat being layed up for a couple of years and then up for sale I really don't expect much. Not this time, I think it looks really clean and cared for. If it runs like it looks 25k is a good deal. Good luck.

STUNNING. SIMPLY STUNNING! i love the modification from angled fixed plexiglass port lights to the opening ones.
the woodwork looks to be in amazing shape and, in picture 51, is that a modification to the main cabin entry door? it looks very hatteras or bertram like.
the teak aft deck looks like it's custom as do the toerail cover boards.
as for the engines/genset, i'd do a compression test, change all the filters and the belts. that port engines main belt looks a little dry rotted. other than that, she's a beauty!!

I think the teak aft deck was stock, but an option over the fiberglass.
The main cabin entry door HAS to be custom; I was thinking "Egg Harbor", but you and I are on the same page, Aaron.
I am hoping the surveys next Tuesday (which will include a sea trial and compression check w/spark plug replacement) will indicate the boat and mechanics are sound enough for me to drive it back across the pond, about a 7 hour trip in decent water; I wasn't planning on doing anything in Wisconsin other than looking it over, finish the close with a wire transfer of the money, and head northeast for Manistee.
Certainly not any mechanical work.

Don't be surprised if you compression readings are not that great to start with as the engines have been sitting . a recheck after a good run would give a better reading.
