I agree , in cases ( 99% +)there is no need . And a major expence . The one neet thing though , would be slow speed running on the center engine , like trolling or running down the ICW .

Well. I'd liketo try and clear up some of the 3 engine confusion. I'm a sport fishing addict. And captain as well. U will see these trip engine configurations on some of the custom boats. Theidea is that providing a third engine I can increase pitch and increase overall speed. This is great for fishing bill fish tournaments where getting 10 miles from the hill and back is important. Especially when there are time constraints. Now I have seen trips give larger sport fish boats better fuel mileage at speed then there twin counter parts. Now to really through ur hair back look at the 90 foot Betsy. She is a new Spencer that is equipped with quad c18 cats. Wow. I am actually redoing a lot of my Trojan. And it will have a kicker diesel with a folding prop in the keel. This is for trollling but also for crossing as well. Will be additional 100 gallon diesel tank forward. Lot of additions and changes being made.

V, that's just because you live in one of the best striped bass fishing holes in the world, you don't have to save gas if you want to fish for a few hours, lol
