Did not mean to upset you , but it is very common on Chrysler 318 marine and onther mopar engines.
oh no no, lol you did not upset me! the flywheel has some marks on it (dots actually) but no numbers to tell me what is going on.

Dave those are the timing marks. There are no numbers. Most will have a TDC mark and a mark for standard and counter-rotation on either side of the TDC mark. There should also be a metal arrow/pointer affixed to the bell housing.

coming up to my 10hr mark and wondering what kinda oil I meed to be lookin in to for the 318's

Chrysler Marine info( from the 70-80s ) says 30W HD ( high detergent ) ( and not 10w-30)above 32 deg. But if It was mine I would use 15w-40 ( name brand ) That what I have used in my present and last 4-5 boats .Most marine engines also recommend it now .I would bet Chrysler marine would too if they were still around. but both will be OK .
And Use a name brand oil

Thanks for the info Think I'm goina go with The 15w 40 as I will be using the boat for the Christmas lights show so I think the temp will be a factor I'll keep an eye on the oil pres. If it goes to high or to low I can always go back to the 30
