the exhaust deflectors were on the boat when we bought it. I haven't decided if I like side exhausts or not, it does take getting used to the different sound when underway.

i hear that scott. try the goofy exhaust set up that i have on the tri cabin. side overflow discharge at the dock and slow speeds then the bubble jet under the boat that 'breaks' her from the water and lifts the hull onto a plane. if the engines are running at just above 1k rpm, i get side and tons of bubbles underneath that causes the vessel to shake and shudder.

I agree with the unique sounding side exhaust. My 34 has it too and my last boat had transom mounted exhaust. It definitely has a different sound from the helm.

Any progress on the the boat? You did a great job on the F32 and I hope to see you do similar with the 37C. I've been hacking away at my 34 with some refinishing and custom work.

today marks the 1 month anniversary of having the boat home. We havent rushed into anything major yet, Cetol the swim step and ladder steps, lots and lots of cleaning, I removed the the anchor roller / pulpit and railing, and replaced it with a new anchor roller and new claw anchor. the boat measured just over 41' with the pulpit, which is over my allowance for the slip, so something had to change. the pulpit was bolted on, so I removed it and replaced it with a piece of starboard and a new stainless claw type anchor roller, I cut the hand rail just behind the pulpit and rolled a new rail to fit in the opening. I sleeved the new rail section and riveted it in place so I can easily remove the new piece and reinstall the old platfomr and railing when we decide to sell it. The old anchor platform extended beyond the bow by alomost 3 feet!

Our first major project will be the galley, I have already purchased the Corian, but the draw / cabinet arrangement in the galley will require some reconfiguration so I am taking my time on deciding what I really want to do. The fresh water pump was replaced when we were in the sea trial period of the purchase, this seems to have opened a can of worms and the water systems is springing leaks, so I think I am going to replumb the fresh water system, probably go with the PEX system.

the Pennant is actually our yacht club burgee, Coronado Yacht Club, a gold crown with a blue field. Coronado is nick named the crown city after the Hotel Del Coronado...

I had a 34C that looked like a mini version of yours as mine was also green.
Back wne I did have mine, I got my Silverton Pennant from the SOC (Silverton owners club).
It was also a great site with a lot of information.

Jerry, sounds like you had the boat I currently have.

Interesting solution on the pulpit. Sounds like you got it figured out to look good and be reversible.

I agree on the cabinet layouts. I've been doing some custom work to mine to try and make it more user friendly and roomy.
