Scott,
the boat looks great! I really like the teak toe rails. I enjoyed talking with you, and glad I could help, hope you have a great season!

Congrats on the boat! Did you have a boat before? We were in the area looking at boats this weekend as well. We called and went looking for that boat but figured it must have sold. Are you fishing out of Keweanuee or Algoma? Did you look at Jimmys F-32(overboard) or did you know better? There was also a decent F-30 express in the marina that was for sale, not sure if you looked at that or not. Looks like you got a great boat either way!
If you don't mind what did they find in the survey and what did it run you? Thanks

We are staying in Kewaunee. My options for Algoma would be limited to the city marina and most of the charter traffic has moved there. I have heard good things about Kewaunee and am looking forward to the change as we have been in algoma for the last 15 years. I am very familiar with Overboard, Ric A Shaw, and Magician IV - just were not what I was looking for. There is also a very nice F32 express HT down in Waukegan that we thought about.
At the end of the day, the F26 fits our needs nicely without running up trip costs.
For the survey we used Mike Tock out of Sheybogan and he was great to work with. Or survey came in at ~400 and found some fore and side deck core issues that will get fixed over winter.
If you are in the area, take a look at Accurate Marine for Superior Catch, 291 Chris Craft Catalina, it is a really good buy.

I see. Why are you limted to the City marina in Algoma? Why not the marina across the river?

Nice boat. I too just got my first Trojan f-26 with 318. The last owner "rebuilt motor, in place". I dont know how he did this. Anyway he was running it at hi rpm and something happened. Now it spins each way then stops. He said a bent rod. So he gave up and gave it to me. Alot of new parts. Is there info out there for what type drive, electrical, tanks, etc

Welcome to the family of Trojan owners. This forum is a great source of information. In order to answer your question, we need to know more information. What year is your Trojan F26? The 1971 and 1972 models (model number 231) were significantly different than the later years (model number 261).
