yesterday, 7 sept 2013 was not only her first cruise with name applied, but, martin state airport was hosting a fly in, i think, of vintage ww2 aircraft. as ENTERPRISE left the channel for more open water, she was buzzed twice by a boeing b-17 flying fortress (ahhhhh the SOUND from those 4 radial engines!!!!!!), AND a b-25 liberator. i could not help but be just a little stoked by those vintage aircraft flying above my vessel. yeah i know.... i'm a total sucker for stuff like that.
and i've been reading up more on the history of BIG E. in short, fascinating!! i've found the web store, so i can order a few patches and a mug. since i'm the owner of, well, little E, am i considered a 'plankowner' ?
