what waterfront are you refering to? Willie i was at yorktown a few times this year .

Paul, not sure where you'd call it maybe Norfolk? I know they have some restaurants like Hooter's and a public marina. Down near the big navy ships. Stopped there with friends on a trip down the ICW on the way to the Elizabeth river perhaps...? I just know it as the water front...waterside?

Willie , We went to york river yacht haven twice last year . maybe 3 times if you count a brunch run to the Rivers inn .

Stripermann2, We used to go to Waterside but this year we went to Tidewater Yacht Right across the river. they resone we went there was we have good frends of ours that stay there in the Summer . But you can take the ferry across to Waterside . We were there 2 times in July the fireworks on july 4 were the best I have ever seen .

I plan on going to both place again this year. Other places on the go to list are Bay Creek in Cape Charles on the Eastern Shore, Smithfield Station and the Tides Inn ,Irvington, VA if the marina at the lodge is still open
